Is the downhill
of turbulent rapids and streams in a dinghy. Contrary to appearances, the rafting is not a dangerous sport,
if we know special techniques to front obstacles and difficulties.
The
idea to cross streams, rivers and rapids with “pneumatic
boats” (in the past leather goatskins, today dinghies with
pneumatic keels in very resistant materials) dates
back to ancient Babilonia. The rafter needs few basic know-how: he can swim and has to
rely on guides experience, who know itineraries and secrets
of currents, and naturally he must have a strong emotion towards
everything that is adventure. Is possible to rent the equipments (neoprene wet suit, special
shoes, helmet and like jacket) at the clubs; proposals of itineraries
in Liguria for any level of experience and difficulties are
infinite. |
